Final Squads of Teams for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be played between 19 February to 9 March. Cricket fans across India and worldwide are excited to witness this tournament after seven long years, as the last ICC Champions Trophy was held back in the year 2017, which was won by Pakistan by defeating India in the finals with huge margins.

After getting defeated by Pakistan, Indian cricketers were criticized a lot by Indian cricketing fans and across the world. This time, India must be willing to take revenge for that loss in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against Pakistan by defeating Pakistan in this season of the tournament.

Some key players will not be available, like Jasprit Bumrah for India in the initial games of the tournament, but can be added back as per his fitness and his need. Pat Cummins the captain of Australia, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood these three are not available for Australia.

In this tournament, a total of 15 matches will be played. The first match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on February 19. The final game will be played in Lahore if India does not qualify for the finals, and if India qualifies for the finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, then the final match will be held in Dubai itself. There are four major venues for this tournament, Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai (For Matches of India Only).

The prize money for the title winner in this edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is $2.24 million, while the runners-up will receive the amount of $1.12 million; the two teams that will get defeated in the semifinals will get $560,000 for each losing team. The big thing for teams is that, in this edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, winning teams will get $34,000 for winning each match in the group stages.

Teams in this tournament who won’t be able to qualify for the semi-finals and secure the fifth and sixth spot in the top eight list then both teams of the fifth and sixth spot will get $3,50,000 each, and teams who will secure seventh and eighth spots will earn $140,000 each.

Not only that, each one of these eight teams is guaranteed to get the base amount of $125,000 just for their participation in this ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Making the total prize money $6.9 million, which is a significant 53% increase in the total prize money of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
