Ibrahim Zadran 177 Runs: Broke Records in Afghanistan vs England Match

Facing a do-or-die situation after losing their opening match, Afghanistan needed a strong performance to stay in the race for the semifinals. Ibrahim Zadran was born on 12^th December 2001 in Khost, Afghanistan. He has rapidly established himself as one of the most capable batsmen of Afghanistan’s cricket team, he made his international debut in 2019. Zadran is a right-handed batsman who occasionally bowls as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and has played crucial roles in many of Afghanistan’s victories over time.

During mid-2024, Zadran suffered a left ankle sprain, due to which he was sidelined from an international squad of the Afghanistan Cricket Team. He was picked into Afghanistan’s squad for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy after his successful rehabilitation and recovery from the injury. He was out from International cricket for a few months and after staying away from cricket for a few months, it’s never easy to make a comeback and play such a fabulous inning in a knockout match against a big team like England.
